This former Toowoomba Church of Christ building is now privately owned. It was origilally erected for the Toowoomba Congregational Church. It was opened on 16/4/1904 by the Rev H C George, President of the Queensland Congregational Union. The minister was the Rev J M Bayley. The final Congregational Church service was held on 7/12/1919. It was later acquired by the Toowoomba Church of Christ, who held their first service on 7/4/1929. It was used by the Toowoomba Church of Christ until the 1980s.
