(Sydney Morning Herald - 28 May 1928) "ST. OSWALD'S, HABERFIELD. The opening services In the new Church of St. Osawld, which has been erected at Haberfield, at a cost of £12,000, and which was dedicated by Archbishop Wright on Thursday night, were largely attended yesterday. The Bishop-Coadjutor (Right Rev. Dr. D'Arcy Irving) preached in the morning service, and Canon Langley In the evening. In the afternoon a complete performance of "The Messiah" was given by a choir of 100 voices under the conductorshlp of Mr. John Mansfield."
