The following personal information was provided by Fiona Green on 11/6/2019: 'This church was built by my ancestors. The Green Bros. were recently arrived from Warrington in Lancashire, UK and settled in Avoca. Charles Green was a Methodist and was involved in the running of the church. One of the Green Brothers (Rev John Green) became one of the first students at Wesley College in Melbourne. The Green Bros were Charles Green (father), Thomas Green, John Green, Charles Green (jnr) and Joseph Green. They arrived in Australia in 1853/5.'
