Christ Church Anglican Church

The Christ Church Anglican Church, Kilmore is in the Parish of Kilmore and the Diocese of Wangaratta. Anglican services under the incumbency of the Rev William J T Singleton, from Ireland, began in 1849. He remained for nineteen years and began his services in rooms hired by the Teetotallers' Society from Mr Griffith. The first church school opened in March 1950, and was also used for church services, until the church building was completed. Although the foundation stone was laid on 19/11/1857, due to difficulties in raising the funding, the church building was not completed until 1864.
