The Inner West Baptist Church, Homebush West commenced on 1/1/1989 when Pastor Peter Rahme was commissioned by Southern Cross Baptist Church to commence a work in the Inner West of Sydney. The first service was held on 14/5/1989 in Ashfield Boys High School. The church was formally constituted on 7/9/1991. For a period the church met in the former St Columba's Anglican Church, at 11 Exeter Road. It now meets in the local public school.
