The Orroroo & Districts Community Christian Church is a member of the association of Baptist Churches of South Australia. The first meetings of what was to become the Orroroo Baptist Church were held in 1879 in Swift's Blacksmith Shop, the Rev David Badger preaching. Afterwards a small weatherboard building was used prior to the purchasing of the unused Primitive Methodist Church building in 1880. This was sold shortly thereafter to the Catholic Church. In 1882 the Rev F Boyling took charge and proceeded with erection of the present church building, which was opened on 25/6/1882 by the Rev David Badger. In 1972 the congregation amalgamated with the Peterborough congregation to form the Orroroo-Peterborough Baptist Circuit. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 2/2/2024.
