The Tumut Baptist Church is associated with the Baptist Union of NSW & ACT. The inaugural meeting for the establishment of the Tumut Baptist Fellowship was held on 26/5/1964, with services going forward held in the CWA Hall. The church was formally established on 22/8/1965. The first church building was opened on 7/4/1969 in Capper Street. The first service in the present building was held on 11/10/2009, the building being formally opened on 28/11/2009, the Capper Street property having been sold.
