The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Carcoar is part of the Parish of Blayney and the Diocese of Bathurst. The church building was erected about 1870. A convent was subsequently built next door in 1874. The church building was designed by Edward Gell. It has a slim stone bellcote and spire and retains its original cooling system which consists of wall cavities through which air passes into outlets in the window sills.The Church was proclaimed a Diocesan Shrine by Bishop McKenna on the feast of the Immaculate Conception 2022.
