The Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Yarrawonga is part of the Parish of Yarrawonga and the Diocese of Sandhurst. The current church building was erected/opened in 1905. Mass was celebrated in Yarrawonga in private homes, hay and corn stores etc. from 1877, when Fr Egan began to travel once a month from Wangaratta by buggy. The parish was established in 1884.
