St Mary's Catholic Church

Foundation stone records: This stone - was laid by - The Right Rev Joseph Wilfrid - Dwyer DD - Bishop of Wagga Wagga - 6th Septr. 1931.

An historical plaque records: A tmber church was built on land donated at this site in 1895 and its first priest was Fr Hanrahan. It moved 4" off its footings in a wind storm, but was stablised until replaced by a brick building. Tenders in 1930 called for brick and tile, de-specified to a tin roof to save cost. Built by H G Webb. Dedicated by Bishop Dwyer of Wagga Wagga. This building is listed in the Australian Institute of Architects Register. Restoration was aided by Lockhard Shire Council heritage grants.
