  • His Grace The Most Reverend Dr Kelly - Coadjutor Archbishop of Sydney, opened and - solemnly blessed additions to this Church on - the 27th July 1907, when he also blessed the - Life-size Crucifix and Statuary of the Church.
  • His Grace The Most Rev Dr Kelly - Archbishop of Sydney, blessed and opened - St Canice's Presbytery on April 21st 1919.

The St Canice's Catholic Church, Katoomba is part of the Upper Blue Mountains Parish and the Diocese of Parramatta.

"St Canice's was preceded by a small weatherboard church, which begun in 1887. The tiny church - 14 metres x 7 metres - cost 160 [pounds]...During his [Fr Bridge] tenure he oversaw a frenzy of building, culminating in the laying and blessing of the foundation stone of St Canice's by Cardinal Moran in 1902".
