St Vincent's Catholic Church

The St Vincent's Catholic Church, Loch is part of the Parish of Korumburra and the Diocese of Sale. The present church building was opened in August 1903 by Fathers Keating and Collins. It was blessed and dedicated in May 1906 by the Archbishop of Melbourne, the Most Rev T J Carr DD, after it had been enlarged and lined. The site for the church building was donated by Mr and Mrs Suding. The earliest Mass in Loch was celebrated on 1/8/1893, in the Mechanics' Institute, by Father Hagen. These continued on a regular basis until the church was built. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.
