Services prior to 1926 were held in the joint or Union Church building which stood on the site of the Anglican Church north of Tooraweenah, until 1971... The other image depicts the original invitation to attend the official opening of the church on December 1912, 1926 by the Rt Rev Monsignor O'Donnell PP of Dubbo. Inside, the Church is very impressive, featuring an altar donated by Mrs Sabine Buckley and family in memory of William Richard Buckley. It was consecrated on May 4, 1943. The altar was remodelled about 1980 by Mr Chris Smith. Most of the Church furniture was made of silky oak by Father Brown during the 1940s... Services are conducted by the parish priest who travels from Gilgandra each Saturday evening for 5pm Mass. |
