The St Matthew's Catholic Church, Rydal is part of the Parish of Portland and the Diocese of Bathurst. It was opened in 1870 and in May 2019 celebrated the 150th anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone. A special Mass was celebrated by Fr Garry McKeown to mark the occasion.
