The St Pius X Catholic Church, Coreen is part of the Parish of Corowa and the Diocese of Wagga Wagga. After the sale of blocks of land about 1909, the number of Catholic families in the district increased. They attended Mass in Daysdale, but also in private homes (Massey & Dunlevy families). In 1913 the Coreen Hall was built and became a meeting place for Mass, although the homes of the Talbot and Culhane families were also used. Plans for a church building took shape in the 1950s. The church, under the patronage of St Pius X, was blessed and opened on 1/9/1963 by Bishop Francis Henschke. On 6/10/2013 the church celebrated its 50th anniversary1 . More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 7/6/2022.
