Gympie Church Of Christ - Former

This former church building is now privately owned.

The Gympie Church of Christ was founded on August 8, 1886 with a meeting held in the home of a Mrs Cane of Horsehoe Bend. Meetings were later held in the Drum and Fife Band Hall and then at the Oddfellows Hall on Red Hill due to the increasing numbers attending the meetings. It was decided to erect a building to meet the needs of the growing congregation. A church building was erected in Crescent Road and opened on 10/8/1887.

The church now meets at 57 Horseshoe Bend. It celebrated 130 years of worship in Gympie on 9/10/2016.  No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploadaed 17/12/2017.
