Long Plains Church of Christ - Former

The Long Pains Church of Christ began when a group from the Mallala Church of Christ established a separate church at Long Plains about 1881. The group met in private homes until a church building was erected in 1903. This building was destroyed by a district fire on 22/1/1948. Services continued in the Long Plains Soldiers Memorial Hall, until a new church building was opened on 11/4/1953, on land next to the Memorial Hall donated by Mr D J Daniel.
