The Bexley Congregational Church is a member of the Fellowship of Congregational Churches, Australia. The Fellowship was formed by a group of Congregational churches which did not join the Uniting Church in Australia in 1977. The original church held its first service on 7/10/1911. In 1912 a weatherboard church building was transported, to the present site, from Canterbury and opened in April 1912. The present church building was erected in 1927. The church celebrated its centenary in May 2013. The church was on the brink of closure in 2020 with only five members, however a pastor joined the congregation and has worked with the congregation which is now expanding. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 14/7/2020.
