The St Mary's Anglican Church, Raywood is part of the Parish of Elmore and the Diocese of Bendigo. The present church building was erected for the Congregational Church, possibly in the 1870s. For a period in the 1880s it was used by The Salvation Army, however, with the ongoing decline in the Congregational congregation, it was sold to the Anglican church sometime after 1895. The building was restored and redecorated before being reconsecrated on 28/10/1962 by Bishop Richards. Anglican services began in the district about 1863, being held in the home of Mr Joseph Davies and later in the town1. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.
