The Trinity Lutheran Congregation, ELCR, Highfields (Toowoomba) is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Congregations of the Reformation, which was formed in 1966, when a small number of congregations (including Trinity) did not enter the union between the former Evangelical Lutheran Church of Australia (ELCA) and the United Evangelical Lutheran Church of Australia (UELCA) to form today's Lutheran Church of Australia (LCA). The present church building was erected/opened about 1985.
