Immanuel Lutheran Church - Former

The Immanuel Lutheran Church, Bower closed some years ago, no other details are known. The Immanuel congregation was formed about 1892, with the church building being erected in 1899. Prior to 1966 there were two Lutheran Synods in Australia, hence two Lutheran churches were erected in the small town of Bower, each one being part of a different synod. With the amalgamation of the synods in 1966, to form the Lutheran Church of Australia, each became part of the same synod. The Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery is located near the church.
