The current St Michael's Lutheran Church, Tarrington was built about 1927, and is the fourth. The first was a timber building erected about 1854. The second was a bluestone building, erected in 1858 and the third, also bluestone, built in 1863, burnt down in 1944. The church buildings were also used as the school. No other details are known.
