The former Our Redeemer Lutheran Church closed about 1968.
'The township of Perbonda, a siding on the Karoonda to Waikerie railway line was surveyed in 1918. A large number of the early settlers were of German descent and members of the Lutheran faith. The members of the United Evangelical Lutheran Church of Australia held regular services in the Perbonda Hall. In 1930 they built Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church began services in the Perponda Hall during the late 1920s. In 1931 they constituted the Bethlehem Congregation. They continued to worship in the hall until granted permission to use Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in the 1950s. In 1967 the congregations amalgamated but disbanded the following year.'
