There are three plaques mounted on a rock.

  • Plaque1 records: This plaque commemorates - the first Lutheran Church services - to be held in the - Netherby District by Pastor Hampe 1883 - October 16th 1988.
  • Plaque 2 records: This palque commemorates the site on - which the First Netherby Lutheran Church - was dedicated on - 31st January, 1892 - This building was burnt down in May 1915 - The present brick church was dedicated - on 18th August. 1918 - "To God Be the Glory"
  • Plaque 3 records: Research in 2003 has revealed that in 1888 a small Lutheran church was built in - the Netherby area. This building was replaced in 1892 by the Bethel Lutheran - Church. Both churches were dedicated by Pastor H. Herlitz. - The Bethel Church was burnt down on May 7th 1916. - A third church, the - Bethlehem Lutheran Church, a brick building was dedicated by Professor M. -  Winkler on August 18th 1918. A closing service was held on August 18th 2003. -  Officiants: Dr David Stolz ~ Pastor Roger Atze ~ Pastor Jack Shepherd. - "May the Lord our God be with us as He was with our fathers; may he - never leave us nor forsake us" 1 Kings 8:57.

The former Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Netherby closed on 18/8/2003. The present church building is the third Lutheran church building erected in the district, and was opened/dedicated on 18/8/1918. The first church building, erected in 1888 was replaced by the Bethel Lutheran Church in 1892, which was burnt down on 7/5/1916.
