The Cross Roads Methodist Church closed in 1973 and the building was demolished, due to significant tornado damage sustained that year. The church building was originally opened as the Bible Christian Church in 1873, and became part of the Methodist Church in 1900. It was then used as the worship centre for the amalgamated congregations of the three Methodist Churches in Cross Roads, until it was destroyed in 1973. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photograph ulploaded 7/3/2025.

Note: Cross Roads originally had three Methodist Churches: A Primitive Methodist Church (1872), A Bible Christian Church (1873) and a Wesleyan Methodist Church (1875). The congregations combined in 1900, with the Bible Christian building continuing as the church, the Primitive Methodist building being used as a Lecture Hall and the Wesleyan Methodist building being used as the Sunday School hall. However following a tornado in 1973 which destroyed the Bible Christian Church building and damaged the Primitive Methodist Church building, the congregation relocated to the former Wesleyan Church building. The Wesleyan church became the Cross Roads Uniting Church (in 1977), while the Primitive Methodist church building was sold.
