Comments

The former East Moonta Methodist Church was opened on 23/6/1872, originally as a school chapel. The building was enlarged and re-opened in August 1875, with further enhancements in 1910. The church building was opened as the East Moonta Wesleyan Methodist Church, and became the East Moonta Methodist Church on Union in 1900. The church was established in 1868, with the church building erected in 1872. It is not known when the church closed. The building is now unfortunately in a severe state of disrepair. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 13/3/2025.
