Tarnagulla Wesleyan Methodist Church - Former

The former Tarnagulla Wesleyan Methodist church closed many years ago, following a large decline in the towns population. The present church building was opened on 9/4/1865 by the Rev W Hill from Castlemaine, with a seating capacity of 300. Early services in Tarnagulla were organised by Jonathan Falder in September 1858, with a small building fitted out for worship services on 24/10/1858. This was replaced by a new church building which was opened on 13/3/1859. The present building was badly damaged by fire in 2000. It is now privately owned.
