"Our church began on Mother's Day 1986 when six faithful families held the first service of the newly formed Mary Valley Wesleyan Merthodist Church. Rev Rex Rigby,... preached the first sermon. Our first meetings took place in a farmhouse, but as time passed we bought the building that had housed Mac's Welding Works on a hillside near Amamoor, overlooking the scenic Mary Valley.
