The former Radium Hill United Church began in 1952, when meetings were held in the home of a Mr & Mrs Messenger, together with the local Australian Inland Mission Sisters Todd and Jackson. As the congregation grew plans for a church building were made, and with much volunteer labour a church building was erected and opened as a non-denominaftional church in August 1958. The uranium mine was closed/dismantled in 1962, at which time the church also closed. The church building was then dismantled and relocated to Leigh Creek - photograph taken in the Museum in Peterborough SA. The exact location of the church building in Radium Hill is not known. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 20/8/2024.
