The Croaker Memorial Church, Caroona is now only used for special services such as weddings, funerals and Christmas.
Before the death of Frederick Croaker and his wife Amelia in 1920, church services were held in the woolshed at Walhallow. After their deaths a committee was formed to raise funds to build a church. The New Zealand and Australian Land Company, Mr Croaker's former employer, donated the land, the sandstone and the timber to erect the church. The Croaker children and local families donated the church furniture. The church was opened on 14/6/1924 and was used by the Church of England, Presbyterian and Methodist congregations.
More historical information/photographs of the church/congregations are invited. Photographs uploaded 19/8/2019.
