Church of The Holy Spirit - Former

The Church of The Holy Spirit, Kettering is now closed, and the property was sold in December 2022. The church since its inception had been ecumenical, the land for a place of worship and a cemetery being provided on that basis by Dr Crowther and a Mr M Holmes.  Accordingly the original structure, erected in 1863, was known as a Union Church, and made available for use by protestant denominations, to serve the surrounding rural population. The original building was replaced about 1900 with a more substantial structure. This building was replaced in 1969, after it was damaged in a bushfire in 1967.  The new building was shared by Anglican, Catholic and Uniting congregations.  A cemetery is located nearby.
