The St Mary, St Bakhomios & St Shenouda Coptic Orthodox Church, Kirrawee had its beginnings in 1989, and began by the hiring of the Sylvania High School hall for worship in June 1991. Then in the St Mark's Anglican Church, Sylvania from 25/9/1991 to April 1993, from which time they used a factory across the road from the land that had been purchased for a church in January 1993.
The church was officially opened and consecrated by Hils Holiness Pope Shenouda III on 8/12/1996. In 2006 the church celebrated the 10 year anniversary of the opening of the church bulding and 15 years from the establishment of the parish.
