The Christ the King Catholic Church, East Greenmount, is a Traditional Latin Mass Centre for The Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX) , a priestly fraternity founded by 'Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre - a man of the Church, missionary, founder of the SSPX, - a man who helped preserve the tradition of the Church after Vatican II." (Sourced from: https://sspx.com.au/en). The chapel was previously The Ascension Anglican Church and was dedicated by Archbishop Donaldson on 24/11/1908. The final service was held on the 17th of October 1999. In 2002 it was sold to the traditional Catholics and renamed Christ the King. More historical information/photographs of the church(es)/congregation(s) are invited. Photographs uploaded 17/3/2017.
