Birriwa Union Church - Former

The former Birriwa Union Church building now appears abandoned.

"Previous to the erection of this building, services were held at the residence of Mr and Mrs George Brown, of 'Arcadia'. Subsequently, Mrs McMaster, of 'Durrie', donated a block of land in the centre of the village, and on, 7th December, 1913, the present Church was opened, when the following clergymen took part:-  Rev Mr Wedge (Anglican), Rev R C Sands (Presbyterian), Rev Mr Newton (Methodist)."
