From about 1922, Presbyterian worship was conducted in the district in the Scarness Picture Theatre. These services were facilitated by ministers travelling for St Stephen's in Maryborough. The church which forms the core of the current complex was built in 1960, and was known as St David's. This building was expanded in 2008 to create the present complex.
