Hagley Presbyterian Church - Former

This former Hagley Presbyterian Church closed in the 1970s, and the property was sold. Presbyterian services had been held in Hagley as early as 1853. These were conducted in the Methodist Chapel and then the Church of England building, erected about 1847, which was eventually purchaed by the Presbyterians in the 1870s. This building was demolished and a new larger brick building was erected, with the first service in the new building held on 14/12/1879. Bricks from an old brewery that used to stand in Longford, were used in the construction. A cemetery is located nearby.
