A plaque records: These are the original Foundation Stones of the - First Salvation Army Citadel in Wagga Wagga - which was located in Morrow Street. - Around 500 people attended the stone laying - ceremony and meeting including Commissioner - Howard, assisted by Colonel Pollard, Major - Jeffries and Staff-Captains Hentz and Beart. - The second Citadel was built some time later - and the original Barracks then became the - young people's hall.

The Salvation Army - Wagga Wagga Corps' first building was erected in the late 1880s in Morrow Street, with its present building opened on 27/8/1988 by Lt-Colonel Dudley Schoupp. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the Corps/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 6/8/2023.
