Notice board records that the original church was established in 1880. The original church building was a bark and shingle chapel which was replaced by the current building about 1888. It was originally intended for the Church of England, but as they could not supply a minister it was served by the Primitive Methodist Church, whose minister arrived by rowboat. Due to road extensions about 1966, the church building had to be re-located to its present site. About 1968 it was re-opened as the Rocks Road Sinnamon Memorial Methodist Church. At its centenary celebrations in 1980 pine trees were planted around the parimeter. More historical information/photographs of the church/congegation are invited. Photographs uploaded 19/8/2017.
