The original Inverell Methodist Church building can be see behind the current church building. The simple red brick building was erected about 1874. The current Inverell Uniting Church building was erected about 1904, largely funded by a legacy from the will of Thomas Taylor. Hence its original name - Taylor Memorial Methodist Church.
