The Wesley Uniting Church, Perth is part of the Presbytery of Western Australia and the Uniting Church Synod of Western Australia. The church now functions as part of the Uniting Church in the City initiative. A combining of this church with the Ross Memorial and Trinity Uniting Churches. The Methodist Church in Western Australia had its origins in a beach thanksgiving service for the safe arrival of ship passengers on 3/2/1830. The service was conducted by Joseph Hardey. The first chapel, funded by subscription and known as the 'Subscription Chapel' was opened on 22/6/1834. A larger chapel was required and when it was built, it was opened on 3/1/1841 and called the 'Centenary Chapel', in memory of the centenary of John Wesley's conversion. The current church building was opened on 10/4/1870. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 13/11/2018.
