The former Eureka Uniting/Methodist Church closed on 8/10/2017.
The first Methodist services in the district where held in the home of Mr William Strong, and were conducted by the Rev Francis Curwood. A decision to erect a church building was made in 1886 and it was opened on 19/6/1887. A new church building was erected and opened on 19/1/1905. After 130 years of serving the communitiy, the final church service was held on 8/10/2017, conducted by the Rev Maggie De Leeuw and the Rev John Edwards. Originally the church was known as 'North Clunes' and changed its name to Eureka in 1893. With the closure of the church the congregation will now join the Clunes Uniting Church.
