The Balgowlah Uniting Church is part of the Northern Beaches Uniting Church, made up of four congregations: Balgowlah, Cromer, Freshwater and Manly. It is also part of the Sydney Central Coast Presbytery and the Uniting Church Synod of NSW & ACT. The Balgowlah Methodist Church began in 1910, although records show some meetings had been held from about 1894. The first church building was a wooden hall, erected and opened on 2/10/1910 by the Rev J C Hill. The larger brick church was erected in 1932 and opened on 29/10/1932. The church celebrated its diamond jubilee on 11/10/1970. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 27/6/2020 & 26/1/2023.
