The St Paul's Catholic Church, Albion Park is in the Parish of Albion Park and the Diocese of Wollongong. The first Mass celebrated in the Illawarra, is recorded as being held by Fr Therry in 1833. Masses were subsequently held in Albion Park, in private homes, and from these plans for the erection of a church building originated. The orginal church building was opened on 25/1/1874 by Archbishops J B Polding and R Vaughan. Jubilee celebrations in 1924, were atteneded by Archbishop Kelly. To meet the needs of a growing congregation/community the present church building was opened and dedicated on 25/1/1975 by Monsignor M H O'Reilly, Vicar Capitular. Further additions/alterations to the building were opened on 24/1/2010. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 24/12/2023.
