Comments
An earlier church/school was built of timber and shingles about 400 yards south west of the current St David's site. It was opened on 18/2/1867 by Bishop Barker. It was also used by the Presbyterians and Wesleyan Methodists until their own churches were built.
The present St David's was due to be opened on 15/10/1886 by the Bishop of Sydney, Alfred Barry, but due to heavy rain had to be postponed. It was duly opened on 22/10/1886 by the Rev J D Langley of St Philip's, Sydney. The church celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2011.
