The former Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Binnaway, property is now listed for sale. The church was the old school. The old church, next to the current church building, is now privately owned.
"At Binnaway, a splendid new bell has been donated to the church by Mr W J English, and was rung for the first time by the donor on Christmas morning for 8 o'clock Mass [1928]. Mr English also has had the work of erection carried out - with characteristic generosity - at his own expense. The bell will be blessed by his Lordship the Bishop during his visit in March". 1 No sign of the bell now at either buildings.
No other details are known about the former church. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 6/10/2018.
