The Bexhill Uniting/Methodist Church, Church of the Good Shepherd, was opened about July 1926. It maintains the Bexhill Open Air Cathedral (see separate entry) which was built in 1958 by the Bexhill Christian Youth Fellowship. No other details are known about the church. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 20/2/2019.

A memory/Information provided by Barrie Virtue on 14/3/2021 in relation to the memorial organ.

'My brother Grant Virtue, who devoted much of his life to the church at Bexhill, passed away in September 2020 at the age of 93...About 60 years ago Grant persuaded the trustees of the church to buy for 250 pounds a disused pipe organ which was stored in pieces under a house in Briabane. Clive Bryant drove his pig lorry to Brisbane and brought the organ to Bexhill. Grant spent several years, with help from time to time from the Late Bert Jarrott, Briabane organ builder, reconditioning the organ and installing it on a platform attached to the back wall of the church. As the years passed he added more ranks of pipes donated as memorials until the organ became one of the largest in such a small church...Although the organ is regarded as a memorial to the people in whose memory ranks of pipes were donated, I feel it is really a memorial to my brother.'
