A heritage plaque records: 'Former St Andrew's Church - When a time capsule was buried beneath the foundation stone of St Andrew's Presbyterian Church nobody would have foreseen that it was to be unearthed 68 years later when the church was to be removed to another silte. The church was built of local granite in 1888 by builder, Thomas Fry. - The dismantling of the church started in 1956, the stones and timbers transferred to the new site and rebuilding was completed the following year. The church followed its original form but a quaint spire was added and the vestry became the main entrance. - When the metal time capsule was found it was badly rusted. It contained some coins and a deteriorated copy of the Cooma Monaro Express. The coins and some from the 1950s were replaced under the relayed foundation stone - St Andrew's is one of twenty-one Monaro stone churches which were built from 1845 to 1973. Building in stone is a local tradition dating from the earliest settlers in 1827 as the region has many areas where good building stone is easily sourced.- The Uniting Church was formed through an amalgamation of the Methodist, Presbyterian and Congregational churches in 1977 and St Andrew's was included in the union. The church is now a private residence.' - Adaminaby and Eucumbene District Heritage Trails.
