The St Peter's Anglican Church, Broken Hill is part of the Parish of Broken Hill and Far West and the Diocese of the Riverina. The present church building was opened on 17/5/1925 by the Governor of NSW, Sir Dudley de Chair. Following an early Anglican service held in the Bijou Theatre in 1887, a temporary iron church building was erected in Cobalt Street in 1888. A more permanent church building was opened and dedicated on 22/2/1903. The church celebrated the 90th anniversary of worship in the current building on 29/6/2018. The present church organ was donated by Pro Hart, from his Art Gallery, prior to his death in 2006. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.
