Comments
The Primitive Methodists first church building was a converted store. The second a weatherboard structure opened on 20/12/1885. The final service was held in this building on 1/11/1903, after the Wesleyan and Primitive Methodists joined in union in 1902.
The original Wesleyan Methodist worship began around 1863, the same time as the establishment of Bowral. Its first church building was erected in 1864 on the opposite side of Bendooley Street to the current church building. This building was replaced in 1881 by a new church building. A Sunday School was added in 1891, and these buildings served until the present church was erected in 1926. Further buildings and amenities have been added since that time.
