The present Our Lady of Mt Carmel Catholic Church, Bonnyrigg was opened on 31/5/1991. It replaced the first church building which was opened in 1962, and is now the church hall. Early meetings of the church took place in the mid 1940s in the Mount Pritchard Theatre and later in a C U S A hut purchased from the army.
